Neiman marcus window display

Created a window display for the Neiman Marcus located at The Domain shopping center in Austin, Texas. It was designed with a $100 budget with the goal of arousing the shopper’s curiosity and transporting the consumer to the dreamlike world of couture. The story that inspired this window is one in which the mannequin has entered an enchanted and whimsical dimension via a portal-like frame that she has just stepped out of. The window is frozen in time when the mannequin has just stepped out of the frame to explore the new fantasy world her dress has brought her to.

I designed and shaped three types of flowers and laser-cut them onto painted paper in hues of blue and purple. These colors are complementary to the warm golds found on the mannequin’s dress and in the wooden frame. The flowers cascade from the frame illogically and are held together by a mesh wire structure that is hung with fishing wire from the ceiling of the window.
